At Finns, we understand the science of teaching, and we appreciate children as who they are. Our assessment in water is not just a mere examination of the child's ability to float, kick and swim, we assess children based on their cognitive, socio-emotional and physical abilities, using our professionally developed tool - FINNS TRIADIC ASSESSMENT. A specific assessment of each individual child allows us to manage the sessions in water to facilitate learning; rather than just teaching a child to swim, that is the conventional one-way non-interactive method.

Our philosophy in aquatic education is developing children using child-centered approach, educating the child as a whole person through authentic assessments. Authentic assessment is an effort that we affirm in. It is a set of observations that is done over the time in play-based situations. This type of assessment is best because it is the most accurate, and it facilitates our aquatic educators and parents making better decisions in educating children. The assessment includes a 3 major domains, ie cognitive, social/emotional, and physical development.

A friend is he who gives a helping hand to his friend in distress. Any child in Finns is our friend and we would not let our friend persistently feeling distress around water. Swimming is one of the most rewarding sport activities, and it is a bless to feel comfortable and happy around water.
